Thank you so much to those parents that came to meet me at conferences. It was such a great turn out!  I had some questions about homework in grade four. Reading 20 minutes a night is extremely important to improve reading comprehension, vocabulary and writing skills. There are a variety of options on how home reading can be completed. Reading aloud together, being read to or reading independently are all considered reading! I encourage you to ask your child questions about what they are reading and discuss any new words they encountered.  Next week we will be starting our Laser City Read to Win Contest . A letter will be coming home explaining details about this program.  I also added a link to the September Homework calendar for those that are interested in having their child some extra homework activities. These activities should take no more than 15 minutes and will be updated every month. All students should also now have access to their Math Prodigy accounts.  Hi
