Hi Grade 4 Parents

We have noticed that there are many kids not completing or turning in work. It’s really important that parents be involved in reading what the assignment instructions are so that they can assist their child in understanding the expectations.

-All assignments for the week will be posted in Google Classrooms at 8pm on Sunday evenings.
-Daily Journals do not need to be handed in but students should have them available at our weekly meetings
-Weekly Google Meet meetings are mandatory (these are usually on Monday at 9:30)
-Language Arts activities need to be turned in through Google Classroom.
-Jump math should be checked by you at home with the provided answer keys and then students should click ‘turn in’ when completed. Please do not upload pictures of these assignments. There are quizzes that students will complete for assessment.
-Other math activities like word problems should be turned in to be marked.
-Science activities should be turned in on Google Classroom

There will be regular Google Meeting times from 10:30 -11:15 on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.  These times are available to provide any extra help and to answer questions. I am also available by email you have any questions or concerns. My office hours are from 9:00am - 12:00 and 1:00 -3:00 pm. If you have any questions or concerns please email me and I will get back to you during office hours.

Hello Grade 4 Parents Can you believe we are entering our 11th week of isolation? It’s crazy to think that students have been away from our building for that long. We certainly miss having their physical presence and look forward to seeing them again in our classrooms and hallways. Highlights -We have started sorting information into Carroll and Venn Diagrams in Math -We practiced the numbers in FRENCH from 1-20 and played Lotto (Bingo) -We dissected an eye (a paper one), and identified all the parts that help us to see -We painted and added information about the buffalo to our visual journal.  Homework Your child has taken home a page about Carroll and Venn Diagrams. Please have them complete it and return on Monday.  ****The Laser City reading draw winners will be announced at the end of the month.
